At LUXE Baby, our story begins with a feeling many parents know well - loving your children deeply, while quietly losing pieces of yourself along the way.
Motherhood is beautiful, but it can also feel heavy. Heavy on your time, your body, and your sense of self. And sometimes, that weight shows up in the smallest, most unexpected ways.

Before LUXE Baby truly came to life, our founder Trudy was a new mum navigating life with a toddler and a newborn in a capsule. Like so many parents, she relied on a crossbody baby bag. What seemed practical quickly became frustrating - the weight pulling painfully on one side, the bag swinging forward, getting in the way, and making everyday moments harder than they needed to be. With hands already full, it left her feeling unbalanced, overwhelmed, and unsupported.

In those moments, one thought kept returning: there has to be a better way.
That feeling stayed with her. And in 2022, when Trudy - now a busy mum of three took over LUXE Baby, everything clicked. Amid messy buns, cold coffee, school drop-offs, nappies, and never-ending to-do lists, she realised she’d lost touch with who she was outside of being “Mum.”

LUXE Baby became her answer.
Our purpose is simple: to create baby bags that support parents, physically and emotionally through the season of early parenthood. That’s why backpack designs are at the heart of LUXE Baby.
